I’ve been cursed at and had a donor throw things at me and my coworkers. Most donors are wonderful, but with frustrations growing about understaffing and even if they are deferred sometimes they become very angry and hard to deal with. I do love talking to people and learning about them while they donate. The only pros are some very kind donors and knowing you’re helping save lives. We cannot retain staff because of management and how the company keeps trying to screw us over on big and little things- any way they can try to scrape change from our pockets.
